One of the guiding principles of Rotary’s “Four Way Test” asks: Will it be beneficial to all concerned? Inspired by that ideal, the Liberty Rotary Club - Sullivan 180 Committee has been actively organizing wellness events to support the health of Liberty Rotarians and their loved ones.
On a number of Sundays, several Rotarians laced up their sneakers for a walk along the scenic O & W Rail Trail, embracing fitness while enjoying each other’s company. Additionally, thanks to a grant through Sullivan 180, many of our members got to participate in yoga classes to build a stronger body, mind and spirit.
We extend our thanks to Sullivan 180 and yoga instructor Justine Sutherland for empowering our us and our community to move, breathe, and obtain better health together.
On Sunday, 5/18 several Liberty Rotarians and friends enjoyed a guided hike along the Walnut Mountain Carriage Trail, led by Lisa Lyons. The trail holds historical significance, once serving as the route to the renowned Walnut Mountain House. Plans are currently in motion to install interpretive panels along the path, highlighting the area's rich history. A big thank you to Lisa for sharing her time and knowledge, making the experience both informative and enjoyable.
Liberty Rotary Club members and friends participate in numerous walks / hikes to promote good health in our community:
