This year’s 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon was truly an incredible community event. The 4:00 Rotary Hour was dedicated to the memory of Jackie Poley, who recently passed away, but whose legacy of goodness and generosity in our community lives on. A number of her family members joined us as we remembered all that she meant to our area and the countless lives she touched.
Rotarians were there in large numbers to be part of the electric atmosphere and host a blood drive and health fair.
The Heart-A-Thon once again raised vital funds to support the prevention, education, and treatment of heart disease. Contributions came through a wide variety of avenues, including direct donations, heart sales, and special events such as the inspiring “From the Heart” musical experience. Thanks to the generosity of our community, this year’s event raised over $85,000.
Events like this are only possible because of the dedication of so many volunteers and supporters. Thank you to everyone at Bold Gold Media, the members of the Heart-A-Thon Committee, all who donated, all who volunteered, and Resorts World for their incredible hospitality. Your commitment and compassion continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
