The Liberty Rotary Club was pleased to once again support this year’s Adopt-A-Grandparent program for senior citizens living in nursing homes. The goal of the program is to provide each individual with a gift of grippy socks and lotion, reaching approximately 400 seniors at Achieve, Sunset Lake, and Roscoe Nursing Homes. For many years, this program has brought great comfort and many smiles to our area seniors.
The Liberty Central School Interact Club, along with their teacher advisors and the program coordinator, worked with student members to prepare gifts for 139 senior citizens at Achieve Nursing Home. These gifts will be delivered next week.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated to support this program and to all the volunteers and workers who assisted in making it a success.
