The November 18th Food Drive to benefit the Interfaith Food Pantry was a great success. Thanks to all that assisted at the event, to ShopRite Stores for letting us gather food and funds there and especially to Dave Thomson who organized and administered the event as well as taking all the groceries to the pantry.
Below are Dave's words:
"Great job….. the All Faiths Food Pantry is overwhelmed with a great amount of donations. Folks in our area are quite generous with donating to us. While it is tough to quantify, both the Pantry and I think we topped what was donated last year. Plus, I gave to the Food Pantry $390 in ShopRite gift cards so they can buy whatever they might need in the future. A rough estimate is that what was donated today will carry them through February at least. Not too shabby.
I just knew we did well when I had to load bags of donations into my car through the windows and we had over an hour to go."
