Liberty Interact students assisted a project benefitting seniors residing in numerous residences throughout our area, by wrapping gifts, writing donor tags, and organizing deliveries to each nursing home. This initiative supported 297 seniors who received gift bags to brighten their holidays.
Additionally, Liberty Rotary Club volunteers prepared special holiday gifts for 130 seniors who receive Meals on Wheels. They wrapped cozy socks paired with a heartfelt poem. This thoughtful gesture was sponsored by the Liberty Rotary Club. The gifts were delivered to the Sullivan County Nutrition Site on December 23rd, where they were distributed to each senior by the Nutrition Site team.
These initiatives were spearheaded by Jannetta MacArthur and a host of volunteers, to assure our seniors have someone to remember them this holiday season.
Thank you to the many hands that played a part in making this event happen.
