At our club's August 31st meeting, a dedication was held to commemorate the two-plus year renovation and improvements project recently completed at the Liberty NY Rotary Club Charlie Topper Pavilion at Hanofee Park.
Our role as a club was to provide the funds and other supports needed to have a successful project.
That could not have been done without the generosity of funds from the Dave Thomson Trust and Resorts World Catskills casino, as well as the cooperation and assistance given by the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Department.
We are so grateful for their assistance, as well as the hard work of our Parks Committee in this process.
At last week’s meeting, Parks Committee Chair Dr. William Silver unveiled the wording of a plaque that will one day soon sit in the pavilion. He was joined by Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Working Supervisor Kevin Delaney and Resorts World Catskills Manager of Government Affairs & Public Relations Angela Rein.
