District Governor Kessler and Assistant District Governor Lauren Rowley Visit

District Governor Drew Kessler and Assistant District Governor Lauren Rowley visited Liberty Rotary Club on October 16th. They are promoting this year's international theme "Engage Rotary, Change Lives".

Drew has determined that Rotary clubs have been very good at attracting members, but many do not stay as lifetime members.  He points out that busy lifetyles, work demands and family demands may prevent people from making the long term commitment to Rotary.  As a result, he is working to create Rotary events that promote inclusion of family members.  Drew is promoting this year's District Conference to be "the coolest District Converence ever", which will feature "a Rotarian program, a partners program for spouses and Camp Rotary".

It was wonderful to have Drew and Lauren join us for a meal and an update of Rotary initiatives.
