Here is an update from Stu in Port au Prince, to which Amit has slightly amended(note that AA1 and AA2 are the aircraft being used):

"Yesterday, the team conducted robust clinic operations in the agricultural
village of Fonfrède, Haiti for over 200 men, women and children. We also
toured a special school and medical clinic building constructed by SOUTHCOM
(U.S. Southern Command) where a Dominican physician serves the communities
to the west of Les Cayes.

By morning, we began transition flights to Cap Haitien to move the team to
the Northern Department of Haiti. We also looked forward to being joined by
AA-2. However, AA-2 Commander, Pete Sloan, aborted the mission wisely after
a mechanical issue was identified in Florida. This induced a need to
recalibrate our mission profile for the remainder of Mission XIV, but
arrangements were made accordingly.

AA-1 delivered their team to Cap Haitien, followed by the arrivals of Annie Quast
and Brian Boyd on a commercial flight. This team commenced to perform clinic
operations at Notre Dame D'Altagrace while the flight crew of AA-1 flew down
to meet the Rotary Team (Gary Silver and Gary Siegel) and the Gift of Water

coordinator, Lamothe Lormier. Due to a continuation of intense convective
activity and rains between Port au Prince and Cap Haitien, AA-1 made the
decision to remain overnight (RON) in Port au Prince and plans for an early
morning departure back to Cap Haitien.

While on their two flight approaches into Cap Haitien, the AA-1 flight crew
noted that the area of Fort Saint Michel was an acute disaster area with
multiple points of flooding and destruction. The AA-1 medical corps team
verified that there had been over 120 fatalities from the flooding and
population displacement. The team will reconfigure accordingly to provide
relief in Fort Saint Michel and the AA-1 flight team will join the medical
corps in the AM to strategize response.

We wish Pete Sloan a safe journey back to DC where he will continue to
support Mission XIV domestically, we thank the diligent Mission Control
Team, and we ask for your best thoughts, prayers and support as we continue
our trajectory of service in the Northern Department of Haiti.
