Kim Simons and Tracy Quisenberry of "Icing Smiles" were our guest speakers at the August 26th meeting. This organization is dedicated to creating amazing thematic cakes for children suffering from severe or terminal illnesses. The group started in 2010 and has now grown to 12,000 volunteers who have created over 21,000 cakes. Their estimate is that the group now creates about 3,000 cakes a year. They spoke at our meeting to potentially allow Liberty Rotary Club bring the program to our community. The video link below gives insight into the incredible impact their efforts are making.
