On January 29th, Liberty Middle School officially put into use one of the most exciting reading incentives we've seen in years, a brand-new book vending machine.
Through this program, students who earn a token are rewarded with the opportunity to choose a book of their own from the machine at no cost, helping build both literacy skills and a love of reading.
The Liberty Rotary Club was proud to help make this project possible through fundraising efforts that included a Rotary District 7210 Grant. Matching grant funds, along with additional funding for the machine and a diverse selection of books, were raised through a community pancake breakfast hosted by Liberty Middle School, the Liberty Rotary Club, and the Liberty Schools Interact Club.
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this effort. Special thanks to Liberty Central Schools for your continued dedication to bringing out the best in our youth. Your generosity is an investment in the future of Liberty students and in a lifelong love of reading.
