Liberty Rotary Club Makes Substantial Contribution to Heart-A-Thon

Congratulations Liberty Rotary and great job Roberta Lockwood as co-chair of the event and Dave Thomson as the coordinator of the phones. We should all be very proud of the significant contribution we made. This year we raised $4,648.69 in hearts and contributions and were responsible for Shoprite’s donation of $2,600. That is a grand total of $7,248.69. The total raised at the Heart-a-thon was over $57,000 which means that once again, we were responsible for 13%! Thanks to everyone for collecting pledges, buying hearts locally and for the contributions you made. Thank you Gary Lee Silverman, Barbi Neumann Marty, Pat Abbott, Amy Beckley, Peter Ehrenberg, Dave Thomson, Barbara Blakey, Herb Clark, and Karin Hilgersom for your help during the event. Special thanks to Gary Siegel who delivered hearts to 30 locations between Liberty and Roscoe and then went back out to retrieve the money from each of those locations. And, thanks Gary for your work in getting the contribution from Shoprite. Everyone’s help made a difference.
