The Liberty Rotary Club has heard the cries of the Ukrainian people and are responding. We have already authorized donations to the Rotary Foundation, Federation of Jewish Communities in Ukraine, UNICEF, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, LIberty Central School Class of 2026 Ukraine Relief Supply Fund and Ukraine Volunteering and Defense Center - Aid Convoy for Ukraine.

This is a crisis of epic proportions that many of us have not seen in our lifetimes.  At this time, more than 3 million Ukrainians have fled their country.

We are asking you to join us in helping our brothers and sisters in Ukraine by donating to our Disaster Relief Fund.

On February 24, 2022, after massing more than 100,000 troops along its border with Ukraine, Russia invaded its democratic neighbor.  Its troops have indiscriminately killed, maimed and injured thousands of Ukrainian citizens, in addition to shelling and damaging or destroying hundreds of buildings and necessary infrastructure.  More than one million Ukrainians have fled the country to escape their Russian invaders; Russia’s actions have provoked the largest refugee crisis in Europe since World War II.

We are investigating the best ways to support the Ukrainian people and, in addition to the Rotary Foundation and Federation of Jewish Communities in Ukraine, UNICEF, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, LIberty Central School Class of 2026 Ukraine Relief Supply Fund and Ukraine Volunteering and Defense Center - Aid Convoy for Ukraine, we are also looking at such organizations and fundraisers as World Union for Progressive Judaism, Doctors Without Borders, Catholic Relief Services, Save the Children, HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), Caritas Internationalis, and the fundraising efforts of Mila Kunis (who was born in Ukraine) and Ashton Kutcher, who have raised more than $30 million and who have pledged to match donations up to $3 million.

In addition, we are attempting to contact Rotary Clubs and Rotary Districts in Ukraine and Poland (where the vast majority of Ukrainians have fled) to determine if they have fundraising efforts underway that we can support.

As always, 100% of your donations to our Disaster Relief Fund will go to support the Ukrainian people.

We can only imagine the suffering of the brave people in Ukraine as a result of the onslaught of the Russian army.  Their country is being torn away from them in the most violent way imaginable.  Your dollars can make a difference in their lives.

PLEASE DONATE TODAY!  Any amount – however large or small – will help.
