Vietnam Veterans Edward Frank and Howard Goldin are doing amazing work through a program called S.T.E.P. (Schools to End Poverty). S.T.E.P. goes into back country where educational opportunity is limited and poverty severely diminishes children's potential and changes these youngster's lives. The work they perform is incredible and includes building schools, supplying water purification systems, buying wheelchairs, providing medical supplies and hygiene products, offering food, installing research/lab equipment, and initiating programs to help students stay in school(often to keep students from entering the sex trade).

Their mission statement sums their project up best: Schools To End Poverty, sponsored by the Spring Valley Rotary Club, recognizes children as our most precious resource and the planet's future leaders. Our primary mission is to provide children of the world with an opportunity to obtain an education. To achieve this goal, we will assist in building schools, help provide basic school supplies and classroom aids, insure a safe and clean school environment and provide clean drinking water for students while at school.

We shall offer grants and scholarships to orphans, street kids and the less fortunate, thus enabling each child to become and productive member of society.

We are an all-volunteer organization where 100% of all donations are given directly to fund our humanitarian projects.

We can't thank Howard and Edward enough for sharing their story with us and the incredible work they do. Their commitment to the betterment of the world's children is truly astounding.
